Overcoming White Fragility and Committing to Reform

On April 13, 2021, thanks to generous sponsors, we hosted a special event called “Overcoming White Fragility and Committing to Reform,” with Robin DiAngelo, an academic and author of “White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk about Racism” and Tina Opie, an award-winning researcher, consultant and Associate Professor of Management at Babson College. This event centered on how white people can only become real agents of change and anti-racists by addressing white fragility and privilege and understanding how both continue to perpetuate systemic racism.
